Schönen Abend aus Berlin!

Hallo!
Ich habe 'nen alten Laptop geschenkt bekommen! Und würde wirklich gerne OS X drauf laufen lassen, weil Win nicht zum aushalten ist und ich unter Linux meine Software nicht zum Laufen bekomme.
Nun habe ich ganz allgemein wenig Ahnung von OS X, Windows oder Hardware.
Ich habe das tolle Anfänger Wiki hier gelesen, aber da sind ein paar Sachen, die ich nicht ganz verstehe, z.B. ob ich osx auf die selbe Festplatte hauen kann. Die ist ja partitioniert. Und muss ich die vorher formatieren? Und spielt es eine Rolle, welche Version ich nehme? und wenn ja, wieso?
Und kann ich das sowieso vergessen, wenn ich von System Info drei traurige smileys habe?
Da gibt es noch viele Fragen, und ich hoffe hier Antworten zu finden.
Am Mittwoch gibts ja auch einen Stammtisch in Berlin, wär' schön, wenn ich Zeit fände.
Auf jeden Fall toll, dass es so ein Forum gibt und ich hoffe, dass ich das hin kriege. Da wär' ich schon mächtig stolz!

Es ist ein Toshiba Satellite Pro L670-170.

Ich werde mich am Donnerstag bestimmt im ACUD blicken lassen. Habe irgendwie total versagt was den Bootstick angeht und hoffe, jemand kann mir zeigen, was ich versiebt habe.
