sequoia installer freezes mid install

  • HI everyone. I am trying to boot macos sequoia on my amd computer. After long troubleshooting i managed to get in to the recovery screen but when i try to install sequoia to my disk the installer gets to like 12 muinutes remaining and then freezes, i waited for like 5 minutes and then got a complete blackscreen. The installer log says ``finished operation queue´´ i dont what it means but maybe it will help.

    i have a:

    amd ryzen 5 5500

    radeon rx 6600

    gigabyte b550m ds3h mobo

    wd blue ssd

    16 gb ddr4 vengance ram

  • Your config.plist misses several Keys (your provided debug log even tells you this)

You should always compare oc's included sample.plist with your config.plist and add the missing keys in your configuration. I'm using OC Config Compare (since ever) but there are other tools to do so.

I somehow doubt that you need ApfsDriverLoader.efi, you might try without (honestly, I never heard about this).

Also you can try temporary disabling some KEXTs that aren't essentially needed for an installation.

I beliefe WEG has to be disabled for installation but I'm not sure...

  • EFI 2.zip

    Hi

Your EFI had different problems in some config.plist part

Your Debug says MAT=1 so you can use a different set of booter quirks

As said by schrup21 many errors due different old opencore you are using

Whatevergreen and pikera could not be useful to your rx6600 GPU to boot properly

Also -v bootarg on some RX6600 create a problem

USBKext map is it done for your motherboard?

If you like backup yours and try this one hoping to finalize your installation step

    By the way

in bios disable Serial port if it is available, Uefi on, 4G on, CSM off

and the minimal hackintosh AMD bios settings to do as usual!
