Gerade mal im GitHub vom OCLP den Stand zu Sonoma geschaut. Das scheint ja sehr gut voranzugehen mit unserem "Werkzeug", wenn schon Non Metal zumindest vorzeigbar ist! Mein Latitude E6410 freut sich schon !

After this guide i got my E6410 on Monterey with full graphics acceleration! THIS is awesome 😎 maybe it helps u Ventura is possible too.

Mit dem Open Core Legacy Patcher kommst du so auch bis Monterey. Je nach Verwendungszweck ist da aber sinnvoll(-frei) da viele Anwendungen nun Metal benötigen. Mit einer SSD läuft es aber ganz gescheit. Der Fallback auf einige OpenGL Versionen ist leider nicht immer oder sehr umständlich möglich.

Zum Browsen reicht es allemale. Office 2016 (nur bis zu einem bestimmten Build unterstützt) & Photoshop 2019 kannst du zumindest starten und nutzen.

Ich habe die SIP-Parameter nach deiner Anweisung gesetzt, kann den Root Patch allerdings nicht installieren.

Laut csrutil status sollte auch alles deaktiviert sein.

jan2ooo : Ist bei der Radeon VII je nach Modell fast normal. Mit Flüssigmetall oder mehr Anpressdruck des Kühlers (die Auflagefläche des Kühlers ist bei vielen Modellen nicht ganz gerade und drückt nicht gleichmäßig auf die GPU), kann man dem entgegenwirken.

Hab mit etwas Undervolting den Kollegen auf 80 Grad bei moderater Lautstärke unter Volldampf bekommen.

Mir sind aber auch keine abgerauchten Modelle bisher bekannt 😆

Habe mittlerweile für meine TV Wand u. HomeOfficeBüro eine Kippschaltersteckerleiste verbaut. Da leuchtet nun nix mehr im Standby.

Ich habe das Gefühl, dass der Wurm irgendwo in Whatevergreen und oder den Kexten liegt. (Vielleicht auch bei mir ^^)

Deine SSDT hat leider nicht geholfen. Mit einer älteren WEG Version und der SSDT konnte ich per VNC auf das System zugreifen. Erkannt wurde nur eine "AMD Grafikkarte" es erscheinen vor dem Blackscreen ledigtlich ein paar Lila Linien bevor der ganz aus geht.

Ich kann es mir ander nicht logisch erklären. Wen jemand ne Idee hat habe ich meine DSDT /SSDT und config.plist hinterlegt.

Sascha_77: Der M1 steckt GTA recht gut weg. Das Spiel ist gut spielbar auf hohen Settings in FHD. Der M1 Pro schafft das ganze sogar in 4K.

Hast du mit deiner Radeon VII denn die Grafikbeschleunigung ? Ich lande mit der Vega unter Ventura nur in einem Blackscreen. Unter Monterey war noch alles problemlos. Sämtliche AMD Bootargs wurden auch schon durchgetestet.

Nativ schon einige:

WoW, Tomb Raider , LS22, CoD ... und es sollen ja noch mehr kommen.

Crossover macht auch vieles Möglich wie z. Bsp Beam NG oder GTA V

Es werden im Moment auch ein paar Emulatoren (PS3/Switch) für macOS umgecodet.

Red Dead Redemption I wäre schon nicht schlecht auf dem Mac 😊

Mit Metal 3 geht aber noch was!

Kurzes Update zum Ivy Bridge System (x79):
Also mein Ivy Bridge System bootet mit dem M1 os.dmg und dem APFS Patch in einen black Screen.

Mit dem bootarg -amd_no_dgpu_accel komme ich in den Einrichtungsdialog.

Wenn ich den Einrichtungsdialog abgeschlossen habe und dann erneut ohne den Flag starte endet der Bootvorgang ebenfalls nur mit einem schwarzer Bildschirm. Irgendwo schein die Grafikbeschleunigung zu zicken... Die Karte ist ein Radeon VII und (eigentlich) unterstützt.

Das werde ich morgen mal auf meinem x79er Probieren.. Klingt ja vielversprechend. Es wäre allerdings völlig sinnfrei nur den Installer AVX2 abhängig zu machen.

Option 1:

1. You'll want to get macOS Ventura installed on a Haswell+ machine. Once you reach the desktop, reboot to the recovery environment.

2. From the recovery, you can open up a terminal window and mount the fresh install's preboot volume (diskutil list, diskutil mount disk#s#)

3. Once you get the preboot mounted, you'll want to navigate to /Volumes/Preboot/Long-UUID(check this using ls)/cryptex1/current/

4. Run an ls command here, and you should see the os.dmg file

5. Now run a cp command and replace the Preboot's os.dmg with the M1 os.dmg (should be on your USB drive)

6. Shut down your Haswell+ Mac and swap the Ventura drive into your cMP. Ventura should now boot!



Option 2:

1. You'll want to get Ventura "installed" onto your CMP. macOS will eventually stall at a point during the verbose portion of the first "installed" boot.

2. Once macOS stalls, reboot and ensure that macOS is still stalled.

3. Then you can reboot again into the recovery environment

4. From the recovery, you can open up a terminal window and mount the fresh install's preboot volume (diskutil list, diskutil mount disk#s#)

5. Once you get the preboot mounted, you'll want to navigate to /Volumes/Preboot/Long-UUID(check this using ls)/cryptex1/current/

6. Run an ls command here, and you should see the os.dmg file

7. Now run a cp command and replace the Preboot's os.dmg with the M1 os.dmg (should be on your USB drive)

8. Once that's done, reboot your machine and Ventura should boot to either a loading bar at ~60% with a cursor or a grey screen with a beachball.

9. Now you'll need to remove the Ventura drive from your cMP and install it/boot from it in another mac that is Ivy Bridge+.

This is done because the Ventura setup assistant does not play well with Non-AVX1 machines

Once you get through the Ventura Setup assistant, remove the drive and reinstall it in your cMP

10. If all things go to plan, you should boot into the Ventura desktop!

@Basti Wolf: Dann habe ich sogar noch ein wenig Hoffnung, dass das ggf. gepatscht werden könnte. Es ist dann ja nicht ganz so verloren wie mit früher der Intel Memron. Da hat das System sie ja gleich quergesellt, wenn ich mich recht erinnere. Ich teste auch noch ein wenig, aber ich denke hier müssen richtige Devs ran...

Mhh... kann es sein, dass meine x79 Möhre (Ivy Bridge-E) (und ein paar andere ältere Maschinen von euch) mit Ventura nicht starten möchten, weil kein AVX2 Befehlssatz verfügbar ist ?
Im Discord von OC Legacy Patcher habe ich da was gelesen.

Wenn dem so ist, wie seht ihr die realistischen Chancen diesen zu emulieren ?

- Kann mir die Frage eigentlich selbst beantworten. -> Ich denke die geht gegen Null.

Es gab vor ner Stunde ein paar Änderungen und eine neue Build 0.8.2
