Hello all of you

i have read all the post and all informations about kext, OC, param and others things but i still have some problems

> My config is HP 840G1 with broadcom BCM94352HMB PCI card (for wifi/bluetooth)

> I use OC 7.0 and Bigsur 11.6

The PC boot (after a quite long time) and start to BigSur OS.

My problems are :

- After some try and modification, i have succeed to use the trackpad (thanks for explications) but buttons still not works.

- Wifi and bluetooth doesnt woks : wifi card seems to be identified (in device panel) but no bluetooth device seems to be identified. I use AirportBCRMfixup kext (with explications to deactivate bcrm4360 injector) and try some params (for instance add PCI card in OC param)... without any success...

If you have some ideas and/or some files that could be usefull it will be great

I’m preparing to upgrade from big sur to Monterey. Any recommendations to me ? My 3 laptops HP840G3 HP840G2 HP840G1

Hat jemand schon eine funktionierende EFI für das 840 G1 und Monterey?

Ich musste das SMBIOS von dem bislang tiptop auf BigSur laufenden MacBookAir6.2 auf 7.1 wechseln, um Monterey überhaupt installieren zu können.

Leider geht nun Bluetooth nicht mehr und nur noch ein USB Port.

Nutze ich eine andere SystemPlatform wie MacBookPro13.x gehen zwar die USB Ports, dafür nicht mehr ein externes Display- weder über das Dock noch DisplayPort.

Mal abgesehen, dass Du nach dem Wechsel des SMBIOS ziemlich sicher auch die Prozessor-Daten anpassen musst, werden Deine USB´s vermutlich deshalb nicht laufen (dazu gehört auch Bluetooth) weil Du die USBport.kext nicht auch angepasst hast.

In der info.plst der USBPort.kext (rechte Maustaste "Paketinhalt anzeigen") ist Dein früheres Gerät hinterlegt. Das findet er nun aber nicht mehr.

OK, hab das Problem selbst lösen können. Das Problem lag eigentlich nur an drei Dingen:

- SMBIOS auf MacBookAir7,1 umstellen

- USBPorts.kext auf dasselbe Modeltype (also in dem Fall MacBookAir7,1) umstellen

- BrcmPatchRam muss für macOS 12 umgestellt werden- einfach BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext gegen BlueToolFixup.kext ersetzen.

Und voilá: geht alles! Dockingstation, alle USB-Ports, DP-Ausgang an Dockingstation als auch am Laptop, Bluetooth

Ich habe meine Elitebook 840 G1 EFI für Monterey auf Basis der OC 0.7.5 angefügt, falls es auch jemand ausprobieren möchte.

i used same EFI of Big Sur with SMBIOS= "MacBookAir6,2"

and boot option(OpenCore 0.7.5):"-no_compat_check".

Works fine x me and all usb are ok.

My docking station works, again.

Bluetooth works with BluetoolFixUp as you.

Works fine with Clover 5142,too..same option in boot-args.

I also tried your method, with your EFI that works well too with my Notebook.

great to hear that! I didn‘t know your mentioned boot-arg option yet.
But I think once you have to bite the bullet and change the SMBIOS aswell if you want to do the next update as simple as on a real Mac.

Yes,You're right...this is why,sometimes,startup Clover with modified SMBIOS at boot options, instead OC..whith this method, my Hackintosh is always update..My current version is:Monterey 12.1(21C5021H).It's always worked x me.

I am already using it, but have a performance issue (OpenCore UI is not responding for a 5 sec) until I can select the OS. Sometimes there are also issues with Windows booting up. Therefore I would like to compare both.

Do you have latest bios on it? Bios settings? Latest opencore?

Yes i have the latest BIOS and checked also the bios settings. Latest OpenCore ( Used the EFI folder from Conn Post 966)

Still

1. Always a 5 sec delay before OpenCore UI gets responsive

2. Windows Boot not always possible -> reboot during startup

3. Windows Boot through BIOS is always working

many thanks! HP840G1 updated to monterey without issues with your EFI.

The only thing I've noticed is that sleep works but after resuming, the laptop keyboard/trackpad are not working, do you have the same behaviour? do you know how it can be solved?

Ich habe aus einem HP 840 G2 vor gut 2 Jahren, mit Hilfe aus diesem Forum, ein Hackintosh gemacht, es läuft mit Mojave und Clover. Ich wollte jetzt auf ein aktuelleres OS wechseln und Clover mit OpenCore ersetzten. Es hat leider nicht geklappt.

Meine Frage: kann es sein dass Clover da irgendwie den Bootstick noch in die Quere kommt? Wie kann ich Clover restlos aus dem Laptop entfernen, reicht es die EFI zu löschen?

Ich frage weil es scheint mir dass die Installation immer an dieselbe Stelle stehen bleibt und ich habe inzwischen 3-4 verschieden Bootsticks verwendet.

Nein, die beiden Bootloader kommen sich nicht in die Quere.
Deine Einstellungen unter "Booter > Quirks" sind nicht richtig gesetzt. Da musst du noch nachjustieren.

Und mit denn richtigen "Booter > Quirks" in neuster Clover Version ist es dann auch egal ob du deinen Clover Ordner updatest auf die neuste Version oder dir die Arbeit machst alles neu zu erstellen mit Opencore. Das gewünschte Ergebnis wird am Ende genau das gleich sein.
