Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H/DSDT/KEXTE und mehr

  • Huhu

Gigabyte Nvidia GeFoce GTX 970 4GB G1 Edition
500 GB Samsung Evo 840 SSD

  • You should be careful about using translation tools...

I'm not your darling... so please cut the crap.

    Thanks.

  • Since the thread is almost four years old, therefore comes from a time where DSDTs were more in focus, the here mentioned package was a good and helpful addition.

Now most of the necessary DSDT-Patches are automatically insert via kexts and/or the modern bootloaders.

Others were just use for "cosmetic" reasons, e.g having the list of internal PCI-Devices in the "PCI"-section of System Report, like shown in the following pic:

While you're using OpenCore I wouldn't advice to use the DSDT in your case.

  • I am very grateful, once again I apologize for the last translation. Now I will translate into English, I hope there will be fewer mistakes with it. I tried including dsdt in the bootloader to check. But unfortunately the computer still restarts if I tell it to shut down. And after it boots to the desktop, it gives an error that it was not turned off correctly. But if you close the error window, the system works well. Can you tell me what the mistake is? If necessary, I can send logs from the debug version of OpenCore.

  • Does it also restart on a shutdown if you did boot without the DSDT?

Otherwise I guess you'll have to check if the DSDT-Patch "Gigabyte Shutdown Fix" from 2015 is also available as a single SSDT-variant which you could utilise in OpenCore.

  • Right. It reboots with and without the patch. Can you tell us more about this "Gigabyte Shutdown Fix"? I don't have it.

  • This MacIASL-DSDT-Patch is currently only available for the DSDT directly and should be part of the aforementioned patched DSDT for the board.

Do you have any USB-Devices in addition to keyboard and mouse running?
Then this might be the culprit, like mentioned in https://www.reddit.com/r/hacki…t_on_opencore_hackintosh/

  • Thank you. Try to apply this patch in dsdt and trust it. I have a Logitech USB camera, WiFi adapter and keyboard and mouse. I tried to disconnect all USBs, left only the mouse and keyboard, but the result is the same.

  • Can you please tell me, maybe my board has a problem with uninstalled USB ports? I created dsdt.aml for my board in MaciASL, applied the "Gigabyte Shutdown Fix" patch in it and tried to start the system with it. It started, but some of the USB ports stopped working, only USB 2.0 remained operational, and the problem of rebooting instead of shutting down was still the same. Before that, part of the USB ports did not work for me (4 pieces of USB 3.0) And I could not get them with patches and different kexts. By the way, when I loaded OpenCore along with the created dsdt.aml, these kexts for USB were active.
